Oct. 16, 2023 – ‘Honor and Remember Flag’ Honors LCpl. Rory Henderson Dalgliesh, USMC, and 1.3 Million Fallen Service Men and Women

Mike Dalgliesh, Ambassador for the S.C. Chapter of the Honor and Remember Organization, raised the “Honor and Remember Flag” over Castle Pinckney on Sunday, October 16 to honor his son, the late Lance Corporal Rory Henderson Dalgliesh, USMC, and more than 1.3 million service men and women who have lost their lives during the War on Terror (since the bombing of the USS Cole in October 2000). The flag was hoisted to raise awareness of the sacrifices made by our nation’s fallen service men and women during the War on Terror, and to promote the Honor and Remember Organization’s recent “Run for the Fallen.” The three-day-long run, which covered more than 122 miles, began at the S.C. State House in Columbia on October 20 and ended at Patriot’s Point in Mt. Peasant on October 22.
